"Stainless steel production accounts for over 75% of all primary nickel consumption. As such, one would expect the demand for stainless, along with the availability of nickel, to be the main driver of the metal`s market value." said MEPS. In recent years, steel mills in North America, Europe and Asia have paid more attention to the greater manufacturing of non nickel stainless steels to avoid the price volativity.
