Business Opportunity of International Fastener Show Tainan Taiwan Reaches 30 Billion Dollars

International Fastener Show, Tainan, Taiwan (IFST), the fourth largest fastener show in the world, was held from yesterday (11, April) and is expected to hit billion dollar mark (about 30 billion NT dollars). This show is the biggest international fastener show in Taiwan. Visitors came from 43 countries in Europe, America and Asia, over 8,000 professional buyers attended this great event and brought huge business opportunities to the industry.

Chairman of Taiwan Fastener Trading Association (TFTA) Mr. Jim Chen, Director of Bureau of Foreign Trade Office Mr. Lai Guo Shin, Mr. Sum of Industrial Development Bureau, Deputy Mayor of Tainan City government Mr. Yen, Director of TAITRA Tainan Office Mr. Hung Ming Chin, founder of TFTA Mr. Su, Chairman of Taiwan Fastener Association (TFA) Mr. Jiang Ming Yuan, Chief Secretary of EFDA Mr. Bernd Stapf, Representative of NFDA Mr. Kevin Reidl, Chairman of Turkey Fastener Association Mustafa Tecdelioglu, president of Hong Kong Fastener Association Mr. Lin Chih Ming, Chairman of China Fastener Industry Association Mr. Feng, Chairman of Union of Italian Bolts Distributors Mr. Gian Marco Dalpane, and legislator Yieh Yi Chin as well as Tainan City councilor Li Wen Jung and other dignitaries, gathered to join the opening ceremony of 2013 International Fastener Show, Tainan, Taiwan.

The organizer of this show is Taiwan Fastener Trading Association and Economic Development Bureau of Tainan City Government. This show will be held from 11th April to 13th April in Commercial Exhibition Center Tainan. Chairman of TFTA, Mr. Jim said that the history has been a decade for Taiwan exporting fasteners. The fastener-related companies in upstream and downstream are over thousands in Taiwan and employees have reached more than 50 thousand people. Under the continuous development of fastener industry and the demand of many international customers, Taiwan has become the very significant place to produce and supply fasteners.

This show not only has fastener-related companies, but also combines fastener and related machinery to satisfy the demand of global professional buyers. The economic effect is expected to hit one billion US dollars.

Industrial Development Bureau, Mr. Sum points out that Gang Shan is the center of the fastener industry. Tainan and Kaohsiung are the two important bases for this industry with over 80% of companies gathering in these two cities. Two years ago, there was a huge flood in Kaohsiung. American buyers were very nervous about this disaster. It is very obvious to see the importance of these two places. Industrial Development Bureau will continuously help the fastener industry to make more high quality products.

The Deputy Mayor of Tainan City Government, Mr. Yen said,” Taiwan Fastener Trading Association has organized the show for over a year. Among a total of 272 exhibitors, there are 265 Taiwan companies and 7 foreign companies and 550 stands in this show.

Local indicative customers include BRIGHTON- BEST INTERNATIONAL, INC, Chun Zu Machinery, Chun Yu Works & Co., LTD, HWA HSING SCREW INDUSTRY CO., LTD. and JERN YAO ENTERPRISES CO., LTD, etc. International exhibitors like ACHILLES SEIBERT GMBH from Germany, NOF METAL COATINGS ASIA PACIFIC CO., LTD from Japan and SUN FASTENER CO. from Dubai, etc.

Chairman of China Fastener Industry Association, Mr. Feng, only came to Tainan to join this show and said that although fasteners belong to traditional industry, this show really attracts many excellent people and this is what we call “Small fasteners, big market, and big world.”
