Avdel introduces new Battery Riveting Tool
The new Avdel eRivR b10 battery riveting tool frees the Avdel assembly process from the restriction of compressed air lines. This efficient, reliable and ergonomic tool delivers 100% portable riveting at a competitive price.
The new eRivR b10 tool is developed for users who require total portability for on-site or field work, or who want to eliminate compressed air lines from their workplace to improve workstation access, EHS and production efficiency. Air line maintenance costs are also eliminated. Lighter in weight and more compact than other battery tools the eRivR b10 also improves manoeuvrability in difficult applications.
The powerful 14.4 V tool with a high pull force of 9 kN and a long stroke of 21 mm places breakstem rivets ranging from 3.0 - 5.0 mm nominal diameter.
The adaption of the well-proven GenesisR nose equipment is a key benefit to users. The tapered nose equipment improves access to application components and the three eRivR nose tips incorporate a device that retains the rivet stem in the nose equipment when riveting in a ‘nose down’ position leaving the other hand free for other tasks. This unique feature makes eRivR easier and safer to use than other battery riveting tools.
A powerful LED light illuminates the application in low light environments – in fact eRivR b10 is ready to work 24/7, factory or field. The transparent quick release stem collector bottle ensures the spent stem level is always visible. The 1.5 Ah lithium-ion battery has a short charge time of 60 minutes and is equipped with a charge indicator that shows the charge condition.
The eRivR b10 tool kit comprises the battery powered rivet placing tool, one 1.5 Ah lithium-ion battery, a charger unit and three nose tips. The complete kit is supplied in a plastic case. A 3.0 Ah Li-ion battery is available as accessory.
