KD-TECH® – the innovative high-end blind rivet nut with controlled deformation

Under its own brand FASTEKS+R, KVT Solutioneering Group offers with KD-TECHR a new type of blind rivet nut, which represents a stand-alone, revolutionary fastening element with the ability for a controlled deformation of the blind side bulge without hole filling inside the work piece:
Systematic set holes determine the level of bulging by weakening the rivet material.
The position and length of the holes determine the position and extent of the bulge.
The KD-TECHR blind rivet nut can be set blind from one side--the same way as a standard blind rivet nut. 
With these attributes, the KD-TECHR is the ideal load-bearing thread for “difficult” materials, in tight construction spaces or when a high thread quality is required: Ideal for GRP and CFRP constructions in the automobile and ship building industry, in light-weight aviation honeycomb panels, in profiles and tubes and other access-restricted construction forms as well as a substitute for weld nuts in commercial vehicles or the railway sector. For each of these demands, KD-TECHR offers the fitting solution:
 
KD-TECHR Controlled Deformation
Controlled deformation stands for defined bulging with minimized hole filling around the base material. With the KD-TECHR Controlled Deformation, holes sit outside the base material which define the location where the bulge will form. The expansion of the bulge is controlled which ensures an exact setting without thread displacement.
KD-TECHR High Strength
With the KD-TECHR High Strength made out of steel, aluminum or stainless steel, a resilient thread can be set into all materials: KD-TECHR High Strength rivets in steel or stainless steel are able to outlast the tensile strength of a 12.9 screw, the aluminum version can bear the tensile strength of an 8.8 screw.
KD-TECHR Micro
With its very short construction, the KD-TECHR Micro enables thread joints also in applications with very limited space (in steel suitable for 8.8 screws).  For more flexibility in construction design, the reduced shank length of the KD-TECHR Micro also saves weight.
KD-TECHR Multigrip
With a KD-TECHR Multigrip, a grip range of up to 9 mm can be covered, depending on the thread size.  To cover such a wide grip range, usually two or three different standard blind rivet nuts would be required.
