Birmingham Fastener investing USD2M for Pratt City Expansion
According to Brimingham Business Journal news, Birmingham Fastener Inc. will expand its operations in Pratt City following a USD2 million capital investment.
The investment for new equipment will allow the nuts and bolts manufacturer to add five to 15 new jobs. Company officials said the expansion was necessary to meet rising customer demand.
Birmingham Fastener worked with the Birmingham Business Alliance and the Birmingham Mayor’s Office of Economic Development. The company is eligible to receive enterprise zone tax credits for each new employee it adds. The company, which manufactures and distributes fasteners for structural steel fabrication, metal building manufacturers and the transportation sector, has 150 employees and 10 locations.
