CSC September Price Leads to the Lowest Profit in over 11 Years

Taiwan China Steel Corp. (CSC) announced its newly adjusted domestic steel price for September. The price of the 7 categories of steel products all dropped, showing NTD1,139 lower per ton on average (-5.01%), among which wire rod that the fastener industry concerned decreased NTD1,300. CSC indicated that the adjusted price was influenced by numerous factors including that the demand for steel was low, the European and American economy was stagnant and China’s economic growth slowed down.
