Ranked 9th in IMD World Competitiveness, Germany is the Only Euro Country Entering First Ten

According to the 2012 IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook published by International Institute for Management Development in Switzerland, Germany’s competitiveness is ranked 9th among the 59 assessed countries in the globe, greatly improving compared to the 16th place in 2010. Among these countries and regions, Hong Kong and the US are ranked 1st and 2nd respectively, followed by Switzerland, Singapore, Sweden, Canada, Taiwan, and Norway from the 3rd to 8th in order while Qatar is ranked 10th.
