Alecero Latest Report: Latin America, Eastern Europe and Middle East Show High Levels of Steel Consumption
According to the latest report released in May from the Latin American Steel Association(alecero), the data of World Steel Association(WSA) shows that Steel consumption in Latin America is expected to increase by 6.3% this year and 6.0% next year, driven by high levels of activity in the steelusing sectors that are related to raw materials and infrastructure investment plans and construction in most countries. The Alecero also presented the latest advances in the study on the importance of the metalworking chain in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Colombia, which addresses the impacts of steel indirect trade with China.
