Germany Sees Great Sales Performance in High-Level Cars in Q1

From January to March 2012, the three big German car groups, Benz, BMW, and Audi all saw record high sales due to their significant performance in the emerging markets. It is expected that the 2012 whole year sales will reach a level as high as that of 2011. In Q1 2012, the global sales of BMW amounted to 425,528 units, up 11.2% over 2011; that of Audi amounted to 346,100 units (up 10.8%); that of Benz amounted to 313,902 units (up11.9%). Among them, BMW’s sales in China reached 81,400 units (up 36.8%), and are expected to further grow this year. Likewise, the three groups’ sales in the US are expected to grow 15~16% this year.
