南非貿易調查委員會(ITAC)為因應南非商要求，將部分螺絲類產品之關稅從10%調高至30%，並於2013年5月24日展開調查。

為維護台灣廠商出口南非權益，台灣區螺絲工業同業公會於2013年7月16日發函國際貿易局，委請該局代為向ITAC反應，請遵守WTP規範，勿任意調高進口關稅。

ITAC頃於2014年3月7日公告，調高部分螺絲類產品進口關稅至20%，品項如下：

73181539-　 Other　screws,　full　threaded　with　hexagon　heads　 (excluding　those　of　stainless　steel)，

73181543-　 Other　bolts(excluding　bolt　ends,　screw　studs　and　screw　studding)　with　hexagon　heads，

73181680-　nuts　(南非政府尚未有明確詳實定義)。
