Venue BITEC

Assembly & Automation Technology 2025 to Present Automation Solutions for Every Industry in ASEAN

“Assembly & Automation Technology 2025”, ASEAN’s Most Comprehensive Exhibition on Industrial Automation Systems & Solutions and Assembly Technology organized by ASEAN's leading exhibition organizer RX Tradex, is set to return with even more upgraded automation solutions for every industry in ASEAN during 18-21 June 2025 at BITEC Exhibition and Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand.

As the 21st century moves forward with many technological breakthroughs and scientific discoveries, industrial automation also continues to enable various tasks to be automated and increase productivity on a scale never registered before. Businesses that expertly leverage automation will achieve competitive advantages because they will be in a better position to manage labor shortage, handle the ever-changing demand from the market, and adapt to the increasingly challenging economic landscape.

According to the International Federation of Robotics (IFR), The new World Robotics report recorded 4,281,585 units operating in factories worldwide - an increase of 10%. By region, 70% of all newly deployed robots 2023 were installed in Asia, 17% in Europe and 10% in the Americas. Out of the countries in Asia, Korea, Singapore, mainland China and Japan are among the top most automated countries.

In the case of Thailand, one of Southeast Asia’s leading production bases for many automotive and electric & electronics companies, IFR has reported the significant growth of robotics adoption by Thailand’s manufacturing sector. In 2018, the number of industrial robots per 10,000 employees in Thailand was around 49 units, with an expected annual growth rate of approximately 10% leading into 2024. The automotive industry, a key sector in Thailand, has been at the forefront of robotics adoption, with many major manufacturers incorporating robots into assembly lines.

Evidently, the Thai government aims to increase the adoption rate of industrial robots to 3,500 units annually by 2024 with the Thailand 4.0 policy. This policy has also led to increased investment in smart factories, particularly in the electronics, automotive, and food processing sectors.

Thailand’s Fiscal Policy Office, a Department under the Ministry of Finance, announced that the Thai economy in 2025 is expected to expand to 3.0 percent per year from 4 main positive factors: private consumption, merchandise exports, tourism and both public and private investment.

The Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) also announced that applications for investment promotion in the first nine months of 2024 increased 42% on year in value to a combined 722.5 billion baht (approx. US$ 21.7 billion), the highest level since 2015. Large projects in target sectors such as electrical appliances and electronics (E&E), and digital, mostly data centers, led rankings due to a significant afflux of foreign direct investments (FDI).

With these positive outlooks, and to build on the success of Assembly & Automation Technology 2024 which concluded with an impressive number of 83,600 participants who came from across the region representing various industrial backgrounds, the show is scheduled to return during 18-21 June 2025 at BITEC, Bangkok. This time, the theme will be “Automation Solutions for Every Industry” to reflect the show’s dedication to deliver the comprehensive platform of automation and robotics technologies that serves every manufacturing and supporting industry through 475 top brands to empower modern productivity and help manufacturers push the boundary of possibility for their production.

Among some of the notable technology providers joining Assembly & Automation Technology 2025 include:
