The upstream leading stainless steel manufacturer Tang Eng Iron Works Co., Ltd. and Yieh United Steel Corp. (YUSCO) has united to file a lawsuit against China, South Korea, Vietnam and Thailand for importing cold rolled stainless steel products through dumping behavior. The application form has been sent to the Ministry of Finance, ROC for anti-dumping investigation and measure implementation request. The industry insiders indicated that the import volume of cold rolled stainless steel products of China, South Korea, etc. have kept increasing this year. For example, the import volume of China amounted to over 25,000 tons and that of South Korea to over 27,700 tons from January to May while the selling price per ton was USD150~200 lower than that of Taiwan. The situation has caused material damages to the stainless steel industry of Taiwan seriously.
